Ordering / Deposit
Bespoke Mini Celebration Cakes:
6 Inch round cakes are small cakes that will serve up to 8=12ppl.
Number cakes are also small cakes and will feed 12-15ppl.
Larger sizes can also be made. Please get in touch to discuss.
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure they aware are of this at time of booking.
Order for bespoke cakes are to be made minimum of 2 weeks before they are due. A 50% non-refundable deposit will be required in order to secure the date. Deposit is payable by BACS transfer at time of booking. Remaining balance must be paid no later than 7 days before the date required.
Made to order Boxes:
Loaf Cakes, Cupcakes, Afternoon Teas, Scone Boxes, Custom Boxes, Brownie & Blondie Boxes

All orders can be placed via email, phone or social media, website.
Any order that is placed less than 7 days notice, full payment is required at time of booking. These bookings will be subject to availability.
Some orders can be made with less than 2 weeks notice. This is subject to availability. Please get in touch adn we will do our best to accomodate your request.

Design
All cakes are unique and designed to the customers’ specifications. Any inspiration used will be interpreted in my own way and therefore cannot guarantee an exact replica but a similar design.
Amendments/ Cancellations:
Any amendments to the cake design are required no later than 7 days prior to the date the cake is required.
Please be aware that in the event of cancellation by the client, deposits will not be refunded. If cancellation is due to a completely unavoidable and unforeseen circumstance, in exceptional cases a discretionary refund may be given.
Complaints:
By collecting a cake, customers confirm they are happy with the product. If a customer is unhappy with their cake on collection, they should inform me straight away so I can do my best to resolve any issues. If there is a problem with the quality of the cake, the cake should be returned within 24 hours of collection, so that further investigation can take place. Once investigation of the cake has been carried out, only then can a decision regarding any refunds/replacements take place. Please note this is at my own discretion. If the product has been mostly consumed then no complaint will be accepted, as it will be deemed to have been to an acceptable standard.
Allergies & Intolerances
Mini Bakes will do their best to accommodate any allergen free requests, but we can’t however guarantee cakes are allergen free due to possible environmental cross-contamination. Mini Bakes have however undertaken Food Hygiene Level 2 & Food Allergen Awareness Courses and will do their utmost to keep to allergen protocols to minimise cross-contamination.
Mini Bakes’ kitchen contains: Dairy products including Milk, Soya, Wheat & Gluten, Nuts, Eggs.
Please be aware that some food colourings can have an affect on children’s behaviour.
Please ensure you state any allergies & intolerances at the time of booking.
Collection, Delivery & Transportation
Collection is from Mini Bakes Shop 26 Commerce Street, Elgin, IV30 1BS. Once cakes have been collected, Mini Bakes cannot be liable for any damage caused once cakes have left the premises.
During transportation, it is advised that cakes are not put on car seats as they are slanted and can cause the cake to slide and ultimately damage the cake. Cakes should be put on a flat surface ideally a non-slip mat to minimise the risk of damaging the cake during transit.
Delivery is free within a 5 miles radius of Elgin. Delivery outside of this area will be 50p per mile. If delivery distance is over 15 miles, then customer will have to arrange to collect the cakes.
Storage:
Cakes & Cupcakes: Should be stored in a cool dry place. Buttercream cakes can be placed in the fridge, however I recommend them to sit at room temperature for an hour before serving.
I recommend cakes be consumed within 5 days to ensure the best freshness.
Scones: I recommend Scones be best consumed within a day to ensure the best freshness.
Brownies: I recommend brownies be best consumed within 5 days to ensure the best freshness. Brownieswill last longer if stored in an air tight container
Costs:
Costs of each item are correct at time of booking. Should costs change for whatever reason, these will not affect any bookings already placed.

In case of emergency etc.
In the case of an unlikely emergency due to illness, family, natural or other emergency, it may be necessary to obtain an alternative cake maker. I will make every effort to find an alternative cake maker. However if this is not possible a full refund will be given.
Decorations & Non-edibles:
Please note that some cakes/cupcakes may have non-edibles as part of their support or decoration. If non-edibles have been used, this will be advised on collection of cake. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure all non-edibles are removed before consuming the cake.
Photographs:
I reserve the right to use any photos of cakes made for purposes of advertisement through use of social media, leaflets and promotions.
